Ski Resorts

Deogyusan Ski Resort (formerly Muju Resort)
Deogyusan Ski Resort (formerly Muju Resort) is part of Mount Deogyu National Park, and is one of Korea’s most famous mountain peak ski resorts. Every year, the Muju Resort hosts the Fun Ski & Snow Festival.

Ways to Get There :
1. Take an intercity bus from Seoul Nambu Bus Terminal to Muju Intercity Bus Terminal. Seoul to Muju bus schedule: 07:40, 09:20, 10:40, 13:40, 14:35
2. From the backgate of Muju Terminal (in front of Jeil Uiwon Hospital, 제일의원), take the free shuttle bus to Deogyusan Resort.


Yongpyong Resort 
Yongpyong is one of the top Ski Resort in Korea, hosting Fun Ski Festival every year. It’s a four-season resort with ski slopes, golf courses, hotels and water park and is open all year round. Free admission to the resort. Admission fees separately charged for each facility.

High 1 Ski Resort 
The four season resort opens daily all year round, around the clock but ski season is from mid November to early March. Free admission to the resort, but admission fees are charged separately for each facility. Hosting GoGo Ski Festivals each winter, High 1 Ski Resort offers 4.2km long, 40m wide ski slopes with a sled park of 25m wide and 110m long..

Ways to Get There :

1. From Cheongryangri station, take the train to Gohan Station (Mugunghwa train) (3hr 30min) – http://www.korail.com
2. From Incheon Airport, you can buy a ticket at the bus ticket office and take a bus to Taebaek at 9C(1F). Get off at Gohan/Sabuk Bus Terminal, and take a taxi to High1 Resort. Cost about KRW8,000
3. Take an intercity bus from Dong Seoul Bus terminal (Gangbyeon Subway Station Exit #4) to Singohan Bus Terminal. From the bus terminal take a taxi to High1 resort.


Gyeongbukgung Palace
Ways to Get There : 
1. Gyeongbokgung Palace Station (Seoul Subway Line 3), Exit 5. 

2. Gwanghwamun Station (Seoul Subway Line 5), Exit 2.


Changdeokgung Palace
Ways to Get There : 
1. Jongno 3(sam)-ga Station (Subway Line 1, 3 or 5), Exit 6. Go straight along Donghwamun-ro Street for 10min.
2. Anguk Station (Subway Line 3), Exit 3. Go straight for 5min.
3. Get off from Changdeokgung Palaces bus stop.

Deoksugung Palace
Ways to Get There : 
1. City Hall Station (Seoul Subway Line 1, 2), Exit 2.

National Parks

Mt Bukhansan in Seoul
Ways to Get There : 
Bukhansan National Park : Gireum Station (Subway Line 4), Exit 3. Take Bus 110B or 143, and get off at the last bus stop.
Bukhansanseong Fortress : Gupabal Station (Subway Line 3), Exit 1. Take Bus 704 bound for Bukhansanseong Fortress (북한산성). Get off at the Bukhansan Mountain entrance bus stop.
Dobong Area : Mangwolsa Station (Subway Line 1). Walk 10min to arrive at the Dobong management office of Bukhansan National Park.


Mt Seoraksan in Gangwon
Ways to Get There : 
From Seoul Express Bus Terminal or Dong Seoul Bus Terminal, take an express bus bound for Sokcho Bus Terminal (travel time: 2hr 30min). For the bus schedule, go to www.kobus.co.kr. From Sokcho Intercity / Express Bus Terminal, take Bus 7 or 7-1. Get off at Sogongwon Bus Stop (travel time: 45min).
Mt Hallasan in Jeju
Ways to Get There : 
1. From Jeju Intercity Bus Terminal, take Bus 1100 (Jeju, Yeongsil, Jungmun), and get off at the entrance of Eorimok Trail.
Bus schedule: 08:00, 09:00, 10:00, 11:00, 12:20, 13:40, 15:00 (April-October: two additional buses are operated at 6:30 and 16:00)
Travel time: 35min
2. From Jeju Intercity Bus Terminal, take Road Bus 5.16 (Jeju, Seongpanak, Seogui), and get off at Seongpanak.
Bus schedule: 06:00-21:30, 10-15min intervals
Travel time: 30min

Winter Festivals















Hwacheon Sancheono Festival
Visitors can try out ice fishing, and those who are feeling brave can try to catch mountain trout with their bare hands in this festival.

Inje Ice Fish Festival
Visitors will be able to try out ice fishing and exciting games such as human bowling on ice, ice soccer and even tug of war on ice.

Taebaek Snow Festival
Snow Sculpture Contest, the doctor fish footbath tubs, snow sledding, Siberian husky-pulled dog sledding and the Old-fashioned Winter Playground.

Mt Hallasan Winter Event
Special weekend shuttle buses and events available at the start of the Eorimok Trail on Halla Mountain from December through to January. Includes sledding and ski experience. Free admission for all.
