Korea Tourism Organization Malaysia is hosting Korea Snow Festa in collaboration with Gangwon Province and Jeju Special Self-Governing Province to bring a winter story to Malaysian fans! Korean Traditional Music Performance By Ayageum

Kayakeum or gayageum is a traditional musical instrument made of a zither board with 12 silk strings, 12 movable bridges, and a convex upper surface. In old days, the instrument was only played in the palace for the king or learned by the nobleman, but today, it is widely played in the orchestra performance as a solo instrument and also the harmony parts. In this Korea Snow Festa, KTO will invite Ayageum, the new face of kayakeum female player from Korea to perform Korean drama OST on stage. Live Travelogue Session By Celebrities

Pauline Tan, May Ho, Chrystina Ng and JQ Lee will come to KTO event stage during the Korea Snow Festa. These great storytellers will share their instagramic experience in Gangwon and travel tip for your future trip. Take a chance to see and hear your favorite & their beautiful moment!

 

Don’t forget to join Nadia Annuar, Emerson Sean, Pojie and Neysa as they unravelled their journey along the unique Olle Trails in Jeju Island at Korea Snow Festa stage event! Jessica Chaw will be there as well to share her self-driving experience along the beautiful coast of Jeju Island.

Hanbok Trial Experience


At KTO booth, visitors will get to try the Korean traditional costume, Hanbok for free. We have a variety of Hanbok designs for both man and woman, from typical Royal Hanbok to the colorful fusion-style Hanbok. You are welcome to try on the Hanbok, take lots of photo with our beautiful winter backdrop and share them on your Facebook or Instagram with hashtag #KTOMalaysia!

 

Ice Fishing Experience

Winter in Korea is lively and full of festival celebrations, snow and ice outdoor activities, unique winter culture and specialty products. Ice-fishing festival, in particular, will be held in late December until early February in places like PyeongChang, Hwacheon, Inje in Gangwon province. Visitors can cut a hole through thick ice and try their luck at catching trout. In this Korea Snow Festa, KTO will build a small fishing site for visitors to experience this fun winter activity and win some prizes.

 

BTS Bus Stop Photo Zone

Do you know the BTS Bus Stop in the album “You Never Walk Alone”? This iconic photo was taken in Jumunjin beach where some scenes of “Spring Day” music video was filmed. Gangneung city set-up the BTS Bus Stop on Jumunjin Beach, which is a photo zone for visitors to snap pictures and enjoy BTS music. In this Korea Snow Festa, there will be a BTS Bus Stop photo zone so bring your friends and re-enact BTS. Refer to the most hipster picture taken by our Malaysian oppas, Syafiq Kyle, Shukri Yahaya, Sharnaaz Ahmad, Hafizul Kamal and Theebaan G!

 

Jeju Innisfree Soap DIY

Innisfree is a Korean brand originated from Jeju famous for its eco-friendly products. DIY soap activity is a fun program for visitors that is only available at Jeju Innisfree House. Get creative and mould the soap to your own liking!

 

Korean Calligraphy Experience

Korean calligraphy, also known as Seoye, is the Korean tradition of artistic writing. A beautiful calligrapher from Gangwon, @ksycalli will write your name or another message in Hangeul, Korean alphabet with a beautiful design.
