Korea Plaza offers a Free Korean cooking class to our Kaki Korea Club members on every second or fourth Tuesday of a month. Depending on the number of participants, you will get the opportunity to experience a “hands-on session” on how to make the dishes, the recipe and have a try on the taste yourself.

Soybean paste stew (된장찌개)
Soybean paste stew (된장찌개) is a rich, silky jjigae made with doenjang and available ingredients such as vegetables, mushrooms, tofu, seafood and meat. Often, small amount of gochujang is added for a hint of heat. It is one of Korea’s most-popular jjigae, served from breakfast to late-night.
Perilla Leaves Pancake (깻잎전 – Kkaenip-jeon)
Perilla Leaves Pancake (깻잎전 – Kkaenip-jeon) Is a fast, fun, and light savory side dish. This South Korean dish consists of a combination of ground beef that wrapped with perilla leaves (kkaennip), and the parcels are then coated with flour and egg wash before they are pan-fried. The filling is usually seasoned and enriched with scallions, garlic, onions, sesame oil, and soy sauce, while other additions also include tofu or finely sliced vegetables.
