K-Festival @ Malaysia To Ignite The K-Imagination

Banking on Korea's multi-faceted splendors, Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) will be organizing an exciting event known as K-Festival @ Malaysia specially for local fans of the Hallyu or Korean wave this August.

Ever since Winter Sonata brought the Hallyu to Malaysian shores, Korea has emerged as one of the most popular travel destinations among Malaysian holiday makers, including Muslim travelers today. Riding on the surging appeal of hallyu and the craze for all things Korean, KTO aims to ignite hallyu fans' K-imagination with a thrilling showcase of Korean food, culture, art, performances, technology and shopping from August 8 to 10, 2014 at Pavilion KL, Centre Court.

Besides the opening ceremony which will be attended by participating brand and media partners, the K-festival @ Malaysia event is conceived to set the imagination alight through stimulating Korean-centric experiences such as special K-tour packages, K-pop performances, K-culture, K-food, K-beauty, K-technology and K-fashion.

K-Festival Highlights

Staying true to the heart of the Korean identity which consists of: Gi (기 / 氣) - spirit/energy, Heung (흥 / 興) - fun, pleasure, joy or excitement and Jeong (정 / 情) - affection or compassion, the K-festival will feature different activities that evoke those key attributes.

For instance, the famous Korean dish of bibimbap (steamed rice with various condiments and Korean spicy sauce) often features five different colors and toppings.
